Dr. Javitt is Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he directs the Division of Experimental Therapeutics.  In addition, he serves as Director of Schizophrenia Research at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, a New York State Office of Mental Health -supported research facility.
In a hugely influential body of work, Dr. Javitt has published over 300 articles on issues related to neurophysiological biomarkers for schizophrenia and other severe mental disorders and NMDAR-based treatment development, with over 35,000 citations to date.
