Prof. Dr. Klaus Kessler is Head of the Brain Stimulation lab at the Aston Brain Centre (ABC) at Aston University, is part of the ABC Steering Group and is co-Director of the Aston Laboratory for Immersive Virtual Environments. Besides exploring Virtual Reality scenarios for augmenting ecological validity of experiments and interventions, Klaus also uses neuroimaging methods (MEG, EEG, TMS) in more traditional experimental approaches to understand high-level cognitive functions. More recently, Prof. Dr. Kessler has developed clinical research interests in ageing, compulsive checking and autism. He is particularly interested in the role of brain oscillations and connectivity in underpinning cognitive function.
