Jimmy Zepa obtained his medical degree at the University of Magdeburg and went on to become a resident in Neurosurgery at the Hospital Merheim in Cologne. In his residency, he started actively working with Prof. Hartmann on presurgical language mapping using neuronavigation to optimise planning of neurosurgery and prevent postsurgical neurological deficits of language. Since 2021 he has been working on his doctoral thesis entitled: “Language mapping in patients with parenchymatous tumor in language eloquent areas.”
