Berlin-Brandenburg has emerged as a leading hub for NeuroTech and Mental Health, bringing together a diverse ecosystem of research institutions, industry players, start-ups and healthcare providers. The region’s strong scientific landscape, anchored by world-class universities and research centers, offers significant potential for integrating health innovation into real-world applications.
While bridging the gap between breakthrough research and clinical practice remains a challenge, Berlin-Brandenburg provides unique opportunities for innovation transfer through its extensive network of healthcare network and three medical university hospitals. Flagship initiatives such as the emerging Neurotech Open Innovation Hub at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin or the joint OPM-MEG-Center by Charité and PTB are accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic solutions in neuroscience. Complementing this is a vibrant start-up ecosystem focused on mental health solutions for at-home, in-patient and out-patient care.
Sarah Schulze will provide a comprehensive overview of this lively ecosystem, highlighting NeuroTech and Mental Health innovation trends as well as collaboration opportunities in Germany's HealthCapital.
