Dr. Kessler is the Catherine D. Brown Chair for Pediatric Epilepsy and is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania. She is the Medical Director of the Epilepsy Surgery program at CHOP and the program director of the pediatric epilepsy fellowship. Her clinical and research efforts focus on clinical trial design and conduct, epilepsy surgery including implanted stimulation devices, noninvasive brain stimulation, epilepsy genetics, electroencephalography, magnetoencephalography, and outcome measures for epilepsy and other neurologic disorders. Her research has been supported by the NIH, FDA, and private foundations.
